‘ aging ’

The recent trend to AGE your sneakers to the look of what you would consider ‘vintage’ , reaches for that ideal. It reminds me of worn-in jeans whose distress has been granted rather than experienced.

Nonetheless, I’m intrigued by the aspiration for vintage and the ultimate yearning for a shoe that, although artificial, exudes nostalgia. In the process, I feel that the shoe will ultimately achieve the pinnacle of its existence … TO BE WORN.
